ALLYSON HARTENBURG
OWNER AND HEAD TRAINER
Growing up on her family farm in South Carolina, Allyson was lucky to inherit her parent's passion for horses. She competed in Eventing in the southeastern US as a junior rider, and was an active participant in Pony Club, receiving her HA certification. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Clemson University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management, concentration in Therapeutic Recreation, and a Minor in Psychology. For several years after graduation, she worked full-time as a therapist at a rehab facility in Greenville, South Carolina, coaching, training, and competing on the side, until 2014, when she decided to pursue her career in horses full time.
Moving around the US, Allyson gained hands-on experience in a variety of areas of the equine industry. While successfully producing multiple young horses and having a competitive track record at shows all over the western US, some of her additional roles included serving as head coach of the Air Force Academy Equestrian Team, coaching and organizing two International Exchanges with United States Pony Clubs, owning a 40 horse boarding and training business in Colorado, coaching and training at a 5* eventer's barn in California, serving as regional supervisor of Rocky Mountain Region Pony Clubs, and teaching Equine Sports Massage at the Rocky Mountain School of Equine Acupressure and Massage. She decided to establish a permanent home for her business in Santa Ynez in 2021.

Her involvement with various aspects of the industry around the country has given Allyson a well-rounded approach to her training style. She offers a comprehensive program for horse and rider in a positive, safe environment. Focusing on sound fundamentals and a strong partnership between horse and rider, Allyson's goal is to produce confident, effective riders and happy, competitive horses.
